REDDITCH Entaco can wrap up the Worcester County League Division Two title this Saturday at Herefordshire side Wormelow.

The Bromsgrove Road side require just six points from their final couple of games to clinch the crown.

They would have become champions last Saturday after their game with Alvechurch was abandoned but rivals Feckenham secured a losing draw in their rain-reduced contest with Evesham.

Redditch’s over 45 side retained their Worcestershire title however.

After seeing off Rushwick and Earlswood on their way to the final, they faced Pershore at Bromsgrove’s St Godwalds Park ground.

Pershore were put into bat and posted a target of 128 all out after ‘The Doc’ Sujeyanthan Jayaratnasingan had taken 4-32.

Redditch raced to victory in reply reaching a winning 132-6 in the 25th of their allotted 35 overs.

Redditch Second XI skipper Geoff Eley led the way with 40 not out while Nick Little added a further 22 in the face of some precise bowling from Pershore’s Andy Hawes, who claimed 5-21.
