SKIPPER Gregg Chinn led the way as Redditch defeated Enville by 135 runs in the Worcestershire County League Division Two.

The captain scored 116 runs and forged a 172 opening partnership with Jack Roberson (69) s they made 299-5 declared in 48 overs.

Despite a quickfire 68 off 55 balls for Andy Webster, Redditch dismissed Enville for 164. Noman Choudry (4-40), Waqas Ali (2-37) and Tom Field (2-26) took the wickets Redditch go to Feckenham on Saturday. The Millers recorded a winning draw against Coombs Wood.

Mitchell Douglass (4-93) and Tom Coulson (5-52) bowled Wood out for 196.

After losing Dan Bloomer, Luke Jackson and Jamie Griffiths early on, Williams Davies (56no) and Josh Stacey (63) guided Feckenham to 155-3 in 28 overs.

Alvechurch and Hopwood had the lion’s share of the points with a draw against Evesham.

John Pinsent and Saurabh Sala bagged four wickets each as Evesham made 205 all out.

After a rain delay, Alvechurch made 168-7 in reply, with opener Adam Markham Jones bagging 79 runs.

They go to Lye on Saturday (1pm start).

l Meanwhile, Astwood Bank women’s record a narrow victory at Banbury.

The hosts made 119 all out, with captain Clare Boycott taking 3-2 and Mars Zaman 4-30. Bank’s reply started well and Boycott top scored with 80 as Astwood hit 120-9.

The men’s second team lost by 53 runs to Kenilworth Wardens.

Astwood’s third team secured a winning draw against Bromsgrove.

Put into bat after losing the toss, Paul Baker struck 82 as Bank made 199.

Josh Baker took four wickets and James Boycott three as Astwood bank secure the winning draw by 77 runs.
