REDDITCH racer Trystan Finocchiaro blasted into top form with a dazzling display at Donington Park in the second round of the UK Aprilia 2016 Championship.
His intensive winter testing paid off as he produced personal-best lap and sector times in all his four races resulting in two fourth, one fifth and a sixth-placed finish in the challenging Easter conditions.
The speed and courage of the young RRV450 racers thrilled spectators with high speed, elbow-to-elbow racing, passing and lapping each other for 10 laps a race around Donington Park’s famous straights, curves and chicanes with Alcester's own Finocchiaro the mix for podium positions.
Finocchiaro, a sixth-form student at Alcester Grammar School, now moves on to the May Bank Holiday meeting at Snetterton 200s super-fast circuit in Norfolk.
He is determined that his rebuilt Aprilia RRV450GP race bike will make his first podium of the season.
