AS THE playing season at Redditch Golf Club comes to a close, Josh McMahon and James Robinson led the way in the trophy-winning stakes, having secured over 15 trophies between them at County level or better.
McMahon is the Midland Closed Champion and with Robinson, Redditch became the Midland Closed Team Champions. Both players will join forces with Matt Vigurs to represent Worcestershire at the County National finals at Durham, having become County team champions.
McMahon and Robinson won the Worcestershire 36-hole foursomes championship, while the former defeated the latter to retain the Worcestershire County Matchplay title.
Robinson clinched the Worcestershire U18s Stroke Play title and together with Nathan Grant and Rhys Hopkins, helped Redditch secure the Worcestershire County U18s team title.
The club's junior team has just beaten approximately 35 clubs in the West Midland area to secure the West Midlands Junior League title.
The Redditch scratch team, under the guidance of the mercurial and ever-present Dave Clements, could not sustain a position in Midlands Division One.
