REDDITCH-based Bee Design rider Paul Wardell has endured one of their toughest seasons in the NGRRC Minitwins Championship.
A big crash in the first weekend at Brands Hatch seemed to create a series of mechanical problems for the next two rounds.
With a lot of effort and help from Bee Design he clawed his way back to take third place in the championship.
The championship finale was held at Pembrey at the weekend and to end the season with a bit more of a bang Wardell also entered the bike into the Supertwin races, pitting it against much more powerful machines.
Despite it being just for a bit of fun, the day ended with a host of podium places, with two third places in the Minitwins and a brace of runners-up spots in the Supertwins.
Wardell said: “Having spent a couple of previous years not winning a thing it felt brilliant to be the guy walking through the paddock with a couple of trophies.
“It’s all thanks to the support of my dad and our friends at Bee Design. Cheers guys.”
