ANDREW 'D'Animal' Robinson hopes Frank Buglioni wins the world title this month - so he can take it off him.

Buglioni challenges WBA super-middleweight champion Fedor Chudinov at Wembley Arena on Saturday, September 26 - and seven days later, Robinson is back in action.

The 30 year-old from Redditch has a six round clash against Sheffield middleweight Wayne Reed in a catch-weight fight, which is on the show at Wolverhampton Civic Hall that's topped by Tommy Langford defending his WBO Intercontinental middleweight title.

Robinson plans to step down from super middleweight but says he would ditch those plans if he was offered another shot at Buglioni.

The first fight between them was one of the best seen in a British ring last year.

Robinson was dropped heavily in the seventh of a terrific ding-dong scrap, toughed it out in the eighth as Buglioni went for the finish, then rallied superbly to have the Londoner cut and in trouble in the last two rounds.

Buglioni won on points and Robinson said: "That fight keeps me awake at night.

"That was my chance to put myself right up there and make a better life for my family - and I didn't take it.

"If I ever get that chance again, I will take it.

"I think Buglioni will win the world title - he's strong, can punch and takes a good shot - and I hope he does so we can have a rematch."

If that doesn't happen, Robinson has plans to be "the Buglioni of the middleweight division."

He said: "Buglioni is a massive super-middleweight and I'm going to be just as strong and powerful at middleweight.

"There are more big fights for me at middleweight, but I leave who I fight up to my management.

"I just want to get in there, fight and give the crowd what they want."

Robinson, who captured the vacant Midlands Area title in June by outlasting Prince Davis in another fan-friendly punch-up, heads to Manchester next week to spar with Liam Smith after being added to the Wolverhampton bill.

He was added to the show after Ricky Summers pulled out and said: "I couldn't turn down the chance to Box Nation and get myself back in the public eye."

Also on the show, Ryan Aston meets Nathan Graham in an eliminator for the English light-middleweight title, and Josh Leather, Lyon Woodstock jr and Tyler Denny look to extend their unbeaten records.

Tickets for the show are available from Wolverhampton Civic Box office 0870 320 7000
