STUDLEY CC are on the verge of clinching the Warwickshire League Division One title and promotion if they defeat Barby at home on Saturday (noon start).
The Bees go into the final match of the season top of the table knowing a win will put the icing on the cake for a brilliant summer. Captain Steve Rose said: “We’re all excited and looking forward to the game. We’ve got a good mix of youth and experience but Barby are a very good team.”
Meanwhile in Worcestershire Division One, Redditch suffered relegation after a three wicket-loss to Colwall. The Kingfishers go to Belbroughton this weekend. Alve-church and Hopwood can secure the Division Three title and promotion with a win at third-placed Himbleton (12.30pm start).
