STUDLEY'S lethal strike force of Jarrell Hylton and Danny Stokes struck again as the Bees saw off Paget Rangers 3-2 in the FA Vase.

Stokes made it four goals in seven games with a brace as the Bees powered to a 2-0 lead after six minutes.

Jarrell Hylton scored the winner to make it six goals in nine games for the forwards.

Studley will now take on Coventry United away in the second qualifying round of the Vase.

The game could be moved to Sunday, October 4 because United ground share and landlords Coventry Sphinx have priority when they take on Ellistown and Ibstock on the Saturday.

Studley have made a solid start to the season and also reacted well to their 8-2 defeat to goal-hungry AFC Hinckey AFC.

Since then, the Bees drew 1-1 against Southam, beat Atherstone 3-2 and were edged out 1-0 by Cadbury Athletic.

Manager Kevin Kingham said: "The Hinckley game was a tough one because at one stage we were trailing 4-2 and they scored a fifth, even though the player who scored admitted it was a handball.

"But the defeat gave us a bit of a kick up the bum and we've done well since then.

"We were unlucky to lose to Cadbury and the performance against Paget was pleasing."

Kingham has further strengthened his squad by bringing in forward Andy Milan from Barnt Green Spartak as well as adding midfielder Lewis Fathers and Michael Heeley.

Former Nuneaton goalkeeper Neil Collett has also joined to increase goalkeeping options.

Kingham said: "We knew this was a transitional season with so many new players coming in but the spirit is coming together."

Studley take on Pilkington XXX at home on Saturday (3pm ko) and then go to Bromsgrove Sporting in the League Cup next Tuesday (7.45pm ko).
