STUDLEY maintained their title charge in Warwickshire League Division One with a three-wicket win over Fillongley.

The Bees are second in the table but just two points behind leaders Knowle.

On Saturday, captain Steve Rose won the toss and put in their opponents to bat first.

Fillongley were dismissed for 161 in 50 overs, with Josh Gandy taking four wickets, with Stuart Harris, Brandon Miller and Simon Stamenkovic taking two each.

Studley lost Rose (0) and Miller (4) early on but the middle order ensured the wobble did not continue.

They were 52-5, but Stamenkovic scored 71 off 66 balls to steer them to 162-7 and victory.

Studley are att home to Highway on Saturday (1pm).

  •  In Worcestershire Division Three, Alvechurch and Hopwood are joint second with Chaddesley Corbett after a 142 run win over Cleobury Mortimer.

Church were put into bat and made 220-8, with Nick Jones (28), Adam Markham-Jones (37) and Ivan Burgess (44) in good form.

Four-wicket hauls for Christian Battelley and Andrew Evans dismissed Mortimer for 78.

Alvechurch take on Claverley on Saturday (1pm).
