WHITE Hart's Warwick/Worcester Premier League team have a fighting chance of escaping relegation from Division Four after a fine home win against fourth-placed Kings Norton Ex`s.

The Redditch club had six winners - Captain Stan Pritchard, Stuart Rice and Stephen Turner all to single figures, well supported by Sue Sugden, Paul Matthews and Dave Kings.

There were high losing scores from Dave Edwards, Mike Estell, Ian Humphreys and Sheila Humphreys. The 226-190 score gives them two points that puts them level with Erdington and Richmond.

The Wednesday Yardley and District League team jumped to second place in Division Three following a comfortable away win at King George VI.

Dave Kings, Dave Edwards and Paul Matthews all won their ties to single figures while Kirk Wright, Gill Croft, Neil Laxton and Tim Hollingshead all got the upper hand over their opponents, and John Meredith only lost by two shots.

In the Sunday Northfield and District League Division Five, White Hart's B team met with a surprising home defeat by Wythall CA B.

Stuart Rice (21-8), Wright (21-9) and Hollingshead (21-13) were comfortable winners, but five defeats proved expensive for them.

In the Heart of England Over-60s Friday League Division Three, White Hart Bhosted Kings Norton Ex`s and were beaten 93-110.

Norman Batchelor, Anne Batchelor, Mick Perrins and Sheila Humphreys all won their ties, but Gill Croft and captain Brian Chatterley were beaten to single figures by two of the top three bowlers in the league averages, leaving the team precariously placed in the relegation zone.

The Ateam suffered an 83-125 away defeat at Kings Norton A in Division One, their only winner coming from captain Ian Humphreys (21-13).

The Thursday Ateam gained 15 pts from a home win over Wythall Ain Division One.

Wins from Ray Richards, Sue Sugden,Mick Perrins, Ian Humphreys and Stephen Turner ensured victory.
