WHITE Hart earned local bragging rights with another win over local rivals Alcester, this time in the Heart of England Friday Over-60s Divsion One.

With five wins from the six ties they ran out 114-100 winners, highlighted by victories from Ken Brown (21-11) against John Slater and Mike Estell (21-16) against Ken Harvey, with good support Ian Humphreys, Ray Richards and Sue Sugden who all won narrowly.

White Hart's Thursday Heart of England League A team finally gained their first win of the season in Division One with seven out of eight winners against Ye Olde Knowle A.

Paul Matthews particularly giving another fine performance but they will need to put together a string of such victories to avoid relegetion this season.

In the Yardley Wood and District League Division Three, White Hart achieved a surprisingly one-sided home victory over league leaders Ye Olde Knowle B to move within three points of them in the league. With all four first half winners including captain Paul Matthews and Dave Edwards who both thrashed their opponents 21-4 (plus wins from Tim Hollingshead and Gill Croft), they then gained a further two points from victories by Dave Kings and Neil Laxton, who hammered previously unbeaten divisional averages leader Martin Cooper 21-6.

Kirk Wright and John Meredith battled back from big deficits to record 18-21 losing cards, which meant White Hart had only dropped 6 pts in the whole match.

White Hart's Warwick and Worcester Premier Division Four team struggled at West Warwickshire and it now looks an uphill battle to avoid relegation.

Ian Humphreys (21-16) was their only winner from the 12 ties, though Dave Kings, Stuart Rice and Rob Faulks were only narrowly beaten in a 147-247 defeat.

In the SW Birmingham League Cup third round, White Hart B finally bowed out of the competition after a defeat by Division Two team Woodlands Park A (played at neutral venue The Green Man), despite good wins from Sheila Humphreys and John Meredith.
