STUDLEY A made up ground in the Wildmoor Spa League with a 3-1 win over Henley.
Brett McKay and Marcus Tate (Henley) just lost to Studley pairing Martin Richards and John Fitton 6-4, 2-6, 0-1 (8-10).
However, they recovered to beat Mark Willmore and Mark Eftichou (Studley A) 7-5, 7-6.
Matthew Williams and Max Retallack (Henley) lost to Willmore and Eftichou 6-4, 7-6, and then lost to Richards and Fitton 6-1, 6-4.
Alcester bagged a draw against Evesham.
Andy Crowther and Jack Crossley (Evesham) made heavy weather of beating Alcester's Tim Kenneally and Alex Woodbridge 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-8) in the closest of Championship tie-break third set finishes.
They then beat Stewart Beach and Gareth Price (Alcester) 6-4, 6-1. Chris Francis and Ray Foster-Morison (Evesham) lost to Beach and Price 6-4, 6-4, and went down to Kenneally and Crossley 3-6, 6-2, 0-1 (11-13).
