Liam Weston (3-26) and Mohammed Adeel (3-19) were the main wicket takers for Worcester.

Astwood's bowlers were set a tough task to try and bowl out the visitors but they made a strong start and reached 38 before Nicky Brown was dismissed for eight runs when Thomas Harris had him caught.

Despite Harris (2-32) and Andrzej Jagielski (2-17) taking wickets, Worcester had the platform to build on and made 113-5 in reply by the 25th over.

Captain Steve Adshead said: "Worcester are a side we have played many times and they haven't really changed but I must say they fielded extremely well.

"They took their opportunities and took catches that weren't really chances.

"We've generally batted well so far this season and we've had different people score runs at different times but on this occasion, Worcester were very sharp.

"The bowlers had a good go at winning the game and took wickets at regular intervals but they had too much to do."

Astwood will be looking to bounce back when they on Streetly away in the league.

After four wins and two defeats in the first six league games, they are fourth in the table.

Meanwhile, Astwood cruised into the Worcestershire final of the National Village Cup when they defeated Feckenham by eight wickets on Sunday.

Jagielski took five wickets for 14 runs as the Millers were dismissed for 110.

Tom Pedley then hit 57 as Bank cruised to 114-2 in reply.
