Excellent cards came Alcester’s way through Hovell and Jean and Bannister (all 21-11), with good support from John Slater (21-15). But Alcester’s 29-shot victory owed most to a superb game from Carole Slater (21-8), which gave the home side seven points against three for the visitors.
