BLACK Horse secured their second silverware of the season as they clinched the WFA Sunday Premier Cup by defeating Hare and Hounds 3-2.

In the Division One title hunt, Millfield Rovers took control as they recorded a 5-1 victory over SHTP, which puts them three points clear at the top of the table with four games remaining.

In a tense first half, SHTP had two chances to take the lead, before Kieron Waldron took advantage of some tentative defending to go in front on the half hour and Millfields added a further two more to go in 3-0 up at half-time.

When Luke James gave his team a glimmer of hope with 20 minutes to go, further indecisive defending restored the four goal advantage.

Third-placed Rocklands also lost ground on the top two losing to two Matty Layton goals at Alcester Town, capping a disappointing warm up for their defence of the Jim Fleeman Cup on Thursday where they face SHTP.

At the bottom of the table it was a point each as, Lodge Park RA took the lead in a four goal thriller with Mayfly. The visitors then equalised and went ahead, before a defensive misjudgement levelled the scores.
