Alvarez and Wright clinch latest round of the Winter League
GOLF: Daniel Alvarez and Gary Wright won the fourth round of the Winter League at Kings Norton GC.
The winning pair bagged an impressive 40 points, with Lee Jones and Russell Banks coming second also with 40, missing out on the back nine.
In third place were Bob Cartwright and Tony Atkinson on 39 points, with Darren Smith and Steve Day on 38 points fourth.
With just one round left, Sean Thornhill and Warwick Tandy have a total of 158, with Ollie and Stuart Birchill and James Bralee and Ben Wright tied in second on 155.
