REDDITCH men were no match for mid-table Ludlow as they suffered a second-half blitz to lose 7-2.

The Kingfishers had Steve Cook and Richard Sellors on target as they went into half-time trailing 3-2.

But they over-committed in their search for an equaliser and were caught on the break with two quick fire goals, putting the tie to bed.

The seconds missed a host of key players and despite a spirited display, they went down 10-1 to Old Wulfs.

Goalkeeper Joe Cardy was kept busy with several saves and Alan Povey bagged Redditch’s only goal.

Redditch thirds suffered an 8-1 loss at the hands of Wolverhampton, despite a goal for Harry Williams.

The women’s first team paid the price for not taking their chances as they lost 3-0 to Pershore.

Meanwhile, the mixed club’s mixed team entertained Edgbaston in the second round of the mixed trophy at a wet and cold Bromsgrove Road.

Despite only starting with nine players, Redditch battled gamely and saw Cook and Anna Stafford score to hand them a 2-1 half-time lead.

But their Birmingham rivals responded after the break to win 4-2.
