DESPITE extending their winning sequence to ten games in the Studley Skittles League, Alcester Nomads lost top spot after a hard-fought victory over Mixtures.
Mixtures won three legs and pushed Alcester, but the in-form side clinched the win in the fourth leg and saw off their opponents by scoring 86.
For Mixtures, Tom Fletcher and Colin Smith made 36 each and Gwyn McDonald 35. For Nomads, Eddie Upright (44) and Mac Eaton (42) starred.
Tim Greenaway led the scoring for Maudslay with 42 as they regained the top spot with a comfortable win over bottom team Swingers.
Chris and Gerry Show look to be returning to form as they beat Lodge Farmers.
