STUDLEY maintained their push for a top-five finish in the Midlands Division One with a 4-1 win over Southam on Saturday.
Goals for new signing Shane Brassington, Connor Perry-Holmes and Toby Checketts ensured a second consecutive league win.
Studley are sixth in the table but level on points with fifth-placed Cadbury Athletic, who have superior goal difference.
Brassington’s strike marked his first start for the club since joining from Tasmanian-based football club Northern Rangers.
Joint manager Kevin Kingham said: “Shane played for two years in Australia but before that he was with me at Massey Ferguson.
“He’s a central midfield player who will add a bit of creativity.”
Kingham also praised keeper ‘Dave Rimmer after a solid display.
“Dave is very experienced and he’s able to organise the defence as well, so the back five is looking good.”
The Bees are in form but they face another test when they play inconsistent Pilkington XXX on Saturday (3pm ko).
