STUDLEY are braced for a goal-fest when they tackle an unpredictable Nuneaton Griff side in the Midlands Division One on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
The Bees will be looking to get back on track after Saturday’s clash against Stafford Town was rained off.
Now they face a Griff side who are in the bottom half of the table but have scored an eye-catching 39 goals in 17 games this season.
Studley won their first league encounter 4-2, with Matt Bailey bagging brace and Umit Eminoglu and Stefan Abandoni on target.
Joint-manager Kevin Kingham said: “Nuneaton Griff have a young side with some really good individual players.
“They score a lot of goals, we were 2-0 against them at home but once we levelled the scores they struggled a bit.
“I was also joint-manager there for a spell a few years’ back and they are a well-run club. I know a few people there and am looking forward to going back.”
Studley had beaten Pelsall Villa 3-0 last week in the league, with a first goal for Scott Devlin, as well as strikes by Bailey and Joshua McKenzie.
The Bees, whose Birmingham Midweek Floodlit Cup clash against Highgate was postponed on Tuesday, are fifth in the table.
Kingham added: “We’re just going about our business unnoticed and hopefully we’ll have a good Christmas.
“It’s better that the other teams get all the headlines and we keep on getting results and strengthen our position in the table.”
