THE last 12 months have seen some superb achievements by Redditch and Alcester residents and to celebrate that success The Advertiser is beginning its search for the Sports Personality of the Year.
We want our readers to nominate individuals who have hit the heights in 2014.
It can be someone who has excelled at their chosen sport at any level, or an unsung hero.
It could be a sports person who has made their mark at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, or someone who has represented the district with distinction in their chosen sport.
Nominees must represent Redditch and Alcester or be a member of a local club.
The deadline is midnight Friday, December 12.
The winners will be decided by an internet vote over Christmas and January on our website.
It could not be simpler to get involved. A five strong shortlist for each category will be published next month.
