REDDITCH United are ready for their FA Trophy shoot out against Trafford.

United head into Saturday's home clash firing on all cylinders after they stretched their unbeaten run in the Southern League Premier to eight games with a 4-0 win over Frome.

On Saturday, they turn their attentions to the Road to Wembley when they entertain the Manchester-based outfit at the Valley Stadium.

While United are flying high in fourth place, their opponents are struggling in the bottom half of the Northern League Premier.

However, they boast a danger man in 16 goal hitman Shelton Payne.

But Trafford will also have to be wary of the in-form attackers such as top scorer Ashley Sammons, Jamie Spencer and Jermaine Hylton.

McDonald said: "Trafford have obviously got a very dangerous player who scores most of their goals but if they want get the ball down and play I am confident we are good enough defensively."

On Saturday, goals for George Carline, Dior Angus - the winger's first for the club, Hylton and Sammons scored as United put struggling Frome to the sword and rose to fourth place.

"The Frome performance was outstanding and for the first time during our good run we let a team off the hook.

"We could have scored but the performance from front to back was excellent.

"We've had suspensions and injuries so are perhaps six points behind where I wanted us to be at this stage of the season.

"But we've set our target of what we would like to have achieved by the end of January.

"It's a bit early to be talking about the play-offs at this stage of the season, if we reached them then it would be a tremendous achievement considering we can't match the highest payers in the league.

"But if we work hard I cannot see why we can't keep our unbeaten run going for longer."
