Old Wheatleyans 8 Woodrush 33
WOODRUSH are second in the Midlands Division Three West (South) after a second straight win on Saturday.
Both they and Dunlop and Shipston have ten points after two matches.
The visitors started the game with gusto and Gary McGrann, Titch Thomas and Steve Smart combined to good effect and allowed coach Jon Ford touched down.
Smart scored Woodrush’s second touch down and added his second conversion to put them 14-0 ahead.
Wheatlyans pulled a penalty back but Thomas bagged a third score for Rush after patient play.
A final try by Anton Taylor settled the day as a contest, despite Wheatlyans picking up a consolation effort.
Woodrush entertain mid-table Cheltenham North on Saturday at Icknield Street in their next league encounter.
