STUDLEY manager Adrian Mander feels his rebuilt Bees side must now push on in the Midlands Football League Division One.

Mander has seen his squad revamped since taking over a month ago, with the likes of Josh McKenzie, Sean Williams and Brett Mander on board.

Former Bromsgrove Sporting centre back Toby Checketts and Tesfa Robinson were the latest new additions and played in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Pershore Town.

Mander said: "It's taken a while but the squad is coming together.

"The first team is looking stronger and we had five substitutes as well, so we're in a much healthier position "This year the league is going to be a lot closer and I think we are more than capable of doing very well."

McKenzie had fired the Bees ahead just before half-time but Pershore levelled the scores through exciting young forwards Sean Brain, who has signed for Bromsgrove Sporting.

Mander added: "It was frustrating because we were denied by the woodwork four times.

"It was a game we should have won but now we need to string some results together."

Studley, who played Lichfield at home on Tuesday night, tackle AFC Hinckley away on Saturday in the league (3pm ko).
