REDDITCH have one more game to ensure their place in the Worcestershire County League Division One.

The Kingfishers entertain fellow strugglers Droitwich on Saturday (12.30m start) knowing victory will guarantee their safety.

Both teams are still in need of 20 points to make sure they do not slip into the bottom two places in the table.

Redditch are currently fourth from bottom, just seven points ahead of Bromyard who occupy the second relegation spot.

However, if Bromyard fail to beat Worcester and Harvington lose at home to Hagley, they will survive for another season in Division One.

On Saturday, a century from Tom Coleman ensured Redditch lost to fourth-placed Colwall by seven wickets.

After losing the toss, Redditch were put into bat and made 225-8 in their 50 overs.

Russell Southwick (70) and Rizwan Mohammad Choudry (53) forged a 117-run partnership for the third wicket.

Colwall opener Coleman struck 120 off 98 balls, while Sam Crichard hit 44 as Redditch’s opponents made 229-3 in reply.

  •  In Division Two, Feckenham slipped to third from bottom after being edged out by nine runs in a thriller.

While the Millers are safe from relegation, they find themselves one place ahead of the dropzone.

Matt Henning (5-49) and Tom Coulson (3-32) were in good form as Feckenham kept Cookley to 203 all out, with Paul Thomas hitting 76.

Feckenham though, at 132-1, looked certain victors after opening batsmen Daniel Bloomer (62) and Muhammad Idrees (51) had started well.

But Ryan Parker’s pre-match preparation paid off with a match-winning 5-44 as the hosts fell to 194 all out in the 40th over.

Feckenham go to Malvern on Saturday (12.30pm start).

  •  Meanwhile, Alvechurch and Hopwood could not dent Stourport’s push for promotion in Division Three.

The hosts lost the toss and were put into bowl by their rivals from Wyre Forest and were restricted to 120 all out, with John Pinsent (26) and Mike Reuben (26) in the runs.

Christian Battelley (4-43) and Mark Woollatt (2-29) took the wickets for Alvechurch but Stourport reached 121-6.

Alvechurch end the season at Tenbury on Saturday (12.30pm start).
