REDDITCH’S efforts to stay out of the relegation zone in Worcestershire League Division One suffered a setback when they lost by ten wickets to high-flying Worcester Nomads.

The Kingfishers had won the toss and elected to bat first but they were dismissed for 167.

After losing Jack Roberson (2) early on, Francois Mostert (31) and Tom Field (38) guided Redditch to 86-2.

But wickets tumbled regularly, despite 22 for Gregg Chinn. Dominic Badger was Worcester’s biggest threat, taking six wickets for 68 runs.

Sam Roberts (100) and David White (60) steered Redditch’s rivals to 169-0 in the 36th over.
