ALCESTER RFC’s annual fun run saw a number of strong performances.

The event was held over two courses in the town and surrounding countryside - with a three-mile fun run route and a longer five-mile course.

Both distances began from the bottom of the High Street in Alcester.

Alcester Academy head teacher Paul Hyde won the shorter course with Kate Tunstall first senior female home. There was success in the juniors for Christian Clements and Seren Mahon.

In the longer route, Keith Beasley won the senior men’s category with the first lady home being Daisy Brown.

Alcester Academy year seven student Benji Barley finished overall third.

Alcester RFC are holding their AGM tomorrow at 7pm - before the the England football team’s World Cup clash against Uruguay.
