REDDITCH skiing star Clare Lines will be representing Special Olympics Great Britain at the World Winter Games.
The 28-year-old is part of a seven strong squad going to South Korea between January 26 and February 6.
The athletes were chosen from 73 skiers with intellectual learning disabilities, who qualified at Special Olympics Great Britain’s National Alpine Ski Championships in Pila, Italy, last year.
More than 100 nations will participate at the event, with 2,800 athletes with intellectual disabilities taking part.
Lines started skiing as a six-year-old. She trains regularly at the Ackers Ski Slope, and her hard work paid off at the Special Olympics GB National Alpine Ski Competition in Pila 2012, where she won one Gold and one Bronze medal to qualify for the Games in PyeongChang.
A Special Olympics athlete for more than 19 years, she has won many medals at the National Summer and Winter Games.
She was a member of the silver medal football team at the Glasgow 2005 Great Britain Games and earned two bronze medals at the National Indoor Athletics Competition in Leicester in 2009.
