JACK Green scored two tries as Alcester retained the Warwickshire Firefighters Memorial Trophy against Redditch seconds.
The hosts’ first team were in cup action elsewhere and the second string were no match for Alcester’s squad.
George Green was also on the scoresheet along with Ben Hansen, who kicked two conversions.
Preparations for the league campaign continue next weekend with another local derby fixture against 2nd XV opposition, when Evesham are the first visitors to Kings Coughton.
Alcester are still welcoming players and anyone interested can either turn up for training on Tuesday and Thursdays at 7pm or visit the club’s pitchero website, where there is also infotmation on the junior sides.
