FOR the second year Kings Norton RFC’s Rhinos junior section were invited to take part in Bromsgrove’s High Five event in Sanders Park.
The Rhinos, who train in and play tag rugby and run junior teams at Kings Norton Rugby Club’s Hopwood Park ground, put on a display and combined with Worcester Girls Rugby to demonstrate the versatility and fun of this game which can be played by boys and girls of all ages.
Kings Norton Rugby Club also provided a fitness and agility training course which members of the public were invited to try out which was in use throughout the whole day.
The Rhinos have also been successful in their application to ‘Community First’ for a grassroots grant of £5,000 to assist them in building capacity and delivering sporting services to young people in North East Worcestershire.
They train at Hopwood Park every Saturday morning from 10 am to 11.30 am and youngsters of all ages are welcome to come along and try the game out.
Regular parents and children’ tagsessions are also held on Tuesday evenings from 7pm at the ground.
