FECKENHAM can look forward to playing in the Worcester Premier Division next season after completing the campaign with a convincing four wicket win over Herefordshire side Burghill, Tillington and Weobley.

The result means Feckenham finished fifth in Worcester County League Division One to ensure the club will be playing at the highest level in their history next term.

Burghill were bowled out for 140 in the 44th over before Feckenham knocked off the runs to reach 144 for six in the 31st over.

Strike bowler Tom Coulson said: "It wasn't pretty and a bit nervy at times. We couldn't relax because other results weren't going in our favour and we needed to win."

Coulson played his part claiming three for 30 while Josh Stacey snapped up three for 54.

Andy Kings then led the reply with 33 while Flynn Duggan with 24 not out and Jamie Reddish on 21 not out saw the side home.

Unluckily for Coulson, he missed out on becoming the league's leading wicket taker.

Ryan Derrick's five wicket haul for Stourport against Chaddesley took his total to 72 wickets, while Coulson finished on 66.

A philosophical Coulson added: "It was my best ever league tally but to get 72 wickets is a fantastic achievement.

"Obviously we'll be looking to strengthen the side for next season as we know its going to be tough.

"It wasn't that long ago that we were facing relegation to Division Three, so the club has come a long way in a short space of time."
