WORCESTER Warriors will head to France and Wales in the 2018-19 European Challenge Cup.

Pau, Ospreys and Stade Francais will be the Gallagher Premiership side's opponents in Pool Two.

Paris-based Stade Francais beat Gloucester to lift the trophy in 2017 before reaching the quarter-finals last season where they lost to Pau from south-west France.

Pau won all six pool games and were eventually knocked out by Cardiff Blues in the semi-finals.

They only just missed out on a place in the Heineken Champions Cup after winning 15 of their 26 Top 14 games to finish in eighth place.

Swansea-based Ospreys, who won two of their six games in the Champions Cup last season, finished fifth in the Pro 14 Conference A table in 2017-18.

The European matches will be played in October, December and January with fixture dates set to be confirmed later this summer.

Warriors boss Alan Solomons’ men look to better their performance of last season when they finished third in Pool Five after collecting two wins from six matches.

Meanwhile, Warriors’ Pool C fixture times for the Premiership Rugby Sevens on Friday, July 27, at Northampton's Franklin’s Gardens have been confirmed.

They will take on Bath in the second match of the day at 5.53pm before coming up against Exeter Chiefs at 7.23pm.

Exeter and Bath will conclude the pool with the final clash at 8.53pm.

Warriors made it through to the sevens quarter-finals last season after defeating Bath and Sale Sharks in the pool stages.

Premiership new boys Bristol open the tournament against Sale at 5.30pm before hosts Northampton Saints close the opening day against Wasps at 9.38pm.

After the pools are completed on Friday evening, Saturday’s matches will start at 2.30pm and see the top eight ranked teams contest the quarter-finals.

The remaining four sides will head into the Plate semi-finals before the tournament concludes at 6.45pm.
