REDDITCH United have confirmed their pre-season fixture list ahead of their upcoming Evo-Stik South Premier campaign.

The Reds begin league preparations with the headline visit of League Two outfit Port Vale, agreed as part of Dior Angus’s move to Vale Park in January.

The visit of Vale on Friday, July 6 (7.45pm kick-off) leads a bill that also includes a home clash with Studley and an away trip to Evesham United in the Worcestershire Senior Cup.

If Paul Davis’s side can progress to the final of the Senior Cup, the friendly with North Leigh, which is due to be held at The TRICO Stadium on Tuesday, July 17, will be postponed.

The Reds’ pre-season continues with a home fixture against Worcester City and then concludes with journeys to Didcot Town, Banbury United and Barry Town.

With new First-Team Manager Paul Davis already putting plans in-place for the coming season, current squad members and new signings, all of whom will be announced in due course, will have the opportunity to force their way into the manager’s thinking ahead of the opening game of the season on August 11.

There will also be opportunities for members of the Redditch United Academy to join in with first-team training and enjoy a taste of the action, as they aim to break into the first-team set-up.

Davis said: “Since my appointment, we have been working tirelessly to get our playing targets to agree to sign for Redditch United for the coming season – we feel that we are very close to where we want to be and will announce them once they are over the line.

“With a busy and challenging pre-season, it will give me a very good understanding of how the team will look and what can be achieved this coming season.

“We have chosen to play a mixture of local clubs, along with team that are in and around our level, and then finishing pre-season with a challenging trip to Welsh premier team Barry Town.”
