FAIRFIELD Villa face the prospect of a hectic finish to the season following another round of postponed games.

And the prospects don't get any better as this week's proposed trip to Studley where they were due to play Montpellier, was also set to be called off.

Fairfield haven't played since they defeated Earlswood Town on February 24.

Spokesman Paul Oakes said: "We won team of the month for February, but we won't be winning it in March because we haven't played.

"It seems that every week we prepare the pitch on Friday and it's perfectly playable. Then something happens and the game gets postponed."

Villa still have a minimum 15 games still to play and that could rise to 18 if they prove successful in their cup competitions.

Villa tried to ease the congestion by offering to play Feckenham in a double-header.

They are set to meet on Bank Holiday Monday in a Midland League Division Two contest.

But they are also scheduled to face each other on April 12 in the quarter finals of the Evesham Hospital Cup.

Oakes added: "We offered to play on Bank Holiday Monday in a winner takes all - but Feckenham didn't want to do that."

Villa host Knowle FC this Saturday in a league fixture and then travel to face Droitwich Spa at Stourport Swifts' ground the following Wednesday in another league contest.
