BOSS Tim Harris has now set his sights on improving Redditch United's away form following their home victory over Basingstoke last Saturday.

A Stuart Fleetwood strike and penalty save from keeper Ethan Ross made sure the Reds led at the break.

Second half goals from Adam Page and Ashley Sammons then wrapped up the points at the Trico and gave United their first win in seven games.

Harris praised his defence after the victory and turned his attention to getting the Reds back on the track when they hit the road.

He said: "It wasn't one of our best performances but we won't complain about winning 3-0 at home.

"We played well in patches but a lot of credit has to go to Basingstoke because they asked a lot of questions and had a right go.

"Our defence and goalkeeper were superb though. Ethan Ross has made some big saves and kept out a penalty as well.

"That has given us the platform to win the game and it shows signs that everything is starting to come together a little.

"We won't get carried away because we need to try and put a run of games together and address our away form.

"Our home form hasn't been too bad but we do want to improve how we have done away. That is one area we can work on."

Redditch are due to host bottom-placed Gosport Borough on Tuesday night before going to Biggleswade Town this Saturday.

Defender Louis Ezewelle will miss both the Gosport and Biggleswade games through injury.

United have continued to build by capturing the permanent signing of Jimmy Mutton following a successful loan spell from Hednesford Town. The midfielder has now been made skipper at the Trico.

Jed Davies has also linked up on a one-month loan from National League North side Tamworth.

Davies, 22, is a central midfielder who can also be utilised as a winger.
