REDDITCH United have named David Tittershill as the club’s new general manager.

Tittershill has worked tirelessly for The Reds since he joined the club two years ago, where he has worked closely with club chairman Chris Swan in his previous role as commercial manager. He helped support and launch projects, including the growth of commercial partnerships and community engagement.

This has also included projects such as, encouraging young people to participate in sport, aimed at reducing anti-social behaviour and crime and getting them active through involvement at the football club.

Before joining The Reds, Tittershill set up his own sports management company after graduating from the University of Derby with a degree in Business Law. His company, Support Sport Management, was his most recent role before joining Redditch United, specialising in working with young footballers, guiding and helping them through their careers.

He has also worked for numerous sports organisations in business development roles and established relationships with key figures in the industry.

He said: “Being appointed general manager of the club is a fantastic achievement for me. I have really enjoyed being a part of the Redditch family and establishing the club as an important part of the community. I am very passionate about the game and I feel Redditch United has the same dedication as myself for developing in every possible area. We have a number of excellent ideas in the pipeline to continue taking the club forward, both in the Evo-Stik League South and beyond.

“I am aware of the hard work and the challenge the role of general manager will bring, but it’s something I will take in my stride and relish. From the foundations and investments that have already been put in place here and the success achieved to date, I’m looking forward in playing a significant role to help continue our progression.”

Club chairman Chris Swan added: “I’m thrilled that David has agreed to become general manager of Redditch United. From his first day here he has shown great character and has given 100 per cent commitment in trying to take the club to the next level. His work has been outstanding and this new role is testament to that. We are confident David will help us with the growth and promotion of the club at this exciting time.”
