LOCK Will Spencer is unlikely to return for Worcester Warriors until the start of October as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.
Warriors have confirmed the powerful forward still faced up to three weeks on the sidelines after being struck down in their opening day defeat at Newcastle Falcons earlier this month.
It means Spencer will miss Worcester’s trip to Gloucester on Friday (7.45pm) and their home clash against Saracens the following Friday.
Meanwhile, Wynand Olivier is struggling with a hamstring problem, but Warriors have yet to clarify how long he will be out for. The centre pulled up in the warm up at Newcastle.
However Warriors were able to provide updates on several other first team players who are nursing injuries.
Simon Kerrod (adductor) – six to seven weeks.
Carl Kirwan (shoulder) – two weeks.
Nick Schonert (ankle) – 12 weeks.
Dewald Potgieter (knee) – December.
Darren Barry (quad) – three to four weeks.
Luke Baldwin (bicep) – four to five weeks.
