FECKENHAM finished off the season in style after hammering Hagley by 140 runs to claim fifth spot in Worcester County League Division One.

The signs looked far from promising when Feckenham lost opening bat Alex Hardy after just two balls.

But from that point, runs began to flow as Feckenham built up a huge total of 307 for six from a full 50 overs.

Tom Coulson led the charge by scoring 120 and together with Jamie Griffiths, who struck a further 82, put on 163 runs for the fifth wicket.

Further contributions from Danny Bloomer with 35 not out and Muhammad Idrees on 30 helped Feckenham pile on the agony for Hagley who were then bowled out for 167 in reply.

Joe Lennon scored 74 but he lack sufficient support as no less than seven Hagley batsmen failed to reach double figures.

Wickets were well shared with Josh Stacey taking two for 13 from seven overs while Will Davies claimed two for nine.

WORCESTER League champions Redditch rounded off the season with a damp squib after their proposed contest with Colwall was called off without a ball being bowled.
