WARRIORS

6 Adams – after his man-of-the-match showing at Newcastle the Welshman struggled to make the same impact in a scrappy contest.

8 Humphreys – returning to the side the promising wing was a real livewire, making numerous positive runs.

6 Willison – has yet to hit his straps this season and having switched from 13 to 12 did not ask Wasps many questions.

7 Te’o – with England boss Eddie Jones watching on the centre produced a powerful display at inside centre, putting Warriors on the front foot.

7 Heem – made a try-saving tackle on Bassett in the opening moments and was a handful for the visitors’ defence when he got his hands on the ball.

7 Heathcote – was unfortunate to have a try chalked off for obstruction and worryingly left the field after suffering another blow to the head.

8 Arr – a much-improved display from the scrum-half who tried to make things happen for his side, managing to wriggle through some gaps.

7 Bower – a pretty solid performance from the prop who held his end up in the scrum and made several tackles.

7 Singleton – another assured display from the hooker and Warriors’ accuracy at the line-out dipped when he was replaced by Taufete’e with 12 minutes left.

Schonert – looks set for a long lay-off after sustaining what appeared to be a serious ankle injury in almost the first play of the game as he was stretchered off.

7 O’Callaghan – disrupted Wasps’ line-out and gave his side strong leadership as they gave the high-fliers a run for their money. 6 Phillips – replacing the injured Will Spencer the lock did not look out of place on his Premiership bow after stepping up from the Championship.

8 Cox – was at heart of the action for Warriors, often driving his side forward and efforts were appreciated by the home fans when he was replaced.

7 Lewis – was busy around the field but judged to have blocked Johnson in the build-up to Heathcote’s disallowed try.

8 VAN VELZE – apart from giving away an early penalty the number eight looked back to his best in an all-action display. My man of the match.
