FECKENHAM stopped the rot of three successive defeats with a fabulous eight wicket win over Herefordshire side Eastnor in Worcester County League Division One.

Having restricted Eastnor to 216 all out inside 44 overs, Feckenham then made a flying start to their reply and knocked the required runs off to reach a winning 219 for two with almost 20 overs to spare.

Will Davies opened the batting for the first time and laid the foundation for victory with 46 before 15 year old prodigy Flynn Duggan with 77 not out and Josh Stacey on 59 not out, saw Feckenham home.

Spokesman Luke Jackson said: "It was an important win, even though Eastnor are bottom of the table at the moment owing to a points deduction, but we needed this result to re-establish confidence."

Feckenham face a trip to high-flying Hagley this Saturday when Danny Bloomer returns to boost the batting.

With the second XI currently top of their division, the pressure will be on for places.
