STUDLEY suffered a compelling 123 run reverse against Coventry side Standard in the Warwickshire League Premier Division which keeps them entrenched in the bottom two places.
It didn't help matters that leading wicket taker Luke Deeprose was late arriving, which meant Callum Amos had to open the bowling with skipper Andy Rhodes.
As a result, Standard were able to build a total of 239 for seven, although Deeprose did make his presence felt when entering the fray to pick up bowling figures of three for 28.
But Studley fell well short with the bat and found themselves skittled out for 116, Stuart Harris supplying top score of 21.
Studley have parted company with overseas player Scott Shephard who has returned home after a poor start to the season.
Chris Perrins returns to first team duty this Saturday when Studley travel to Olton and West Warwicks where Jack Williams will take charge in the absence of skipper Rhodes.
