FECKENHAM Football Club are set to increase their ranks for next season by fielding an under-18 side in the Midland Floodlit Youth League.

It follows the introduction of a reserve side last season who competed in the Stratford Alliance and the arrival of an under-18 side is seen by the club as the next stage in their progression.

Former Studley and Highgate United under-18's joint boss Rob Donnelly will take charge of Feckenham's under-18 side.

Rob has previously worked with Feckenham first team boss Aaron Blackwood at Studley where they went onto win the Midland Floodlit Western Division title before going onto take charge at Highgate Under-18's.

Current Feckenham assistant manager Tony Round has agreed to help Rob with the Millers' latest side who will discover which division they will play in at the Midland Floodlit Youth League AGM which takes place next Monday, June 26.

But it's quite possible that Feckenham could be facing the likes of some well established clubs such as Redditch United, Leamington, Alvechurch, Kidderminster Harriers, Hereford, Gloucester City and Cheltenham Town.

Feckenham already have an established network of young players at their disposal so they won't be staging trials - but if anyone is interested in finding out more details, they should contact Tony Round on 07487-744028.
