REDDITCH Entaco recovered to record a pleasing four wicket win over Droitwich in Worcester County League Division One.

Chasing a modest Droitwich total of 166 all out, Redditch found themselves reduced to losing both openers with just one run on the board as Rizwen Chaudhry and Ollie Mason failed to make any impact with the bat.

It was skipper Russ Southwick who led the recovery with a well compiled 59 while Brandon Weal provided a further 47.

They helped take Redditch to a winning 168 for six in the 50th over.

Earlier in the game it was the bowling of Waqas Ali with four for 31 off 10 overs and Noman Chaudhry who claimed three for 44 from 14 overs that put the skids under Droitwich to leave Paul Bryan high and dry on 55 not out.

Local rivals Feckenham plundered a 71 run success over Pedmore.

Jamie Griffiths made top score of 42 as Feckenham reached 206 all out in the 48th over after Paul Taylor picked up figures of three for 44 off 15 overs while Jack Patchett prised out figures of three for 28 off six.

But it was the bowling of Feckenham's Tom Coulson who captured four for 53 and Matt Henning who took three for 47 that proved too much for Pedmore who were removed for 135 in the 37th over.

It sets up an intriguing local derby this Saturday when Redditch play hosts to Feckenham.
