FECKENHAM fought their way to a 1-0 win at Knowle to lift themselves up in Midland League Two.

In what proved an extremely close contest, Feckenham finally found their way to goal in the second half.

Jay Wright cut inside from the left flank before his deflected shot looped into the air enabling Jack Brimmell to head home.

Feckenham could have fired home a second goal just moments later when Wright attempted to round Knowle's goalkeeper, who recovered to save well.

Feckenham assistant boss Tom Davies said: "It was nice to hand Ryan Moore and Jay Wright debuts after impressing while playing for the reserves.

"We go into our final games with confidence knowing there are targets to be met."

Feckenham host title chasing Alvis Sporting Club at The Entaco on Tuesday before rounding off the season on Saturday at home to Smithswood Firs.
