IT was penalty shoot-outs galore in the Redditch and south Warwickshire league's cup games with four out of five settled by spot kicks.

The only game that didn't was the BRT Terry Cup semi-final between South Redditch and New Woodland Cottage. New Woodland Cottage beat South Redditch 4-2 with a hat-trick by Stu Byng and Wayne Whitehouse's first ever goal at the age of 30.

The Pat Sanders Cup first round saw SCC Redolence move on to the next stage by beating SO Goose Greenlands 3-1 on penalties after the game was drew 1-1 at full time. In the quarter-final, Golden Cross beat Beoley Village 3-2 on penalties.

The final of the Studley Charity Cup was confirmed as AFC Lions beat Lodge Park 4-2 on penalties and Redditch Town beat Redditch Cross 4-3, again on penalties.

The final between Redditch Town v AFC Lions will be n Thursday April 13, 7pm kick off at Studley Sports Centre.

Shakespeare Studley beat VKL 5-2 today in Division Two, Dave White scored two of their five goals.

In external cups Austin Ex Apprentices confirmed their place in the final of Birmingham FA Roger Wood Cup after beating Otter and Vixen from the Wolverhampton league 3-2. Studley Swan were knocked out of the Bromsgrove Charity Cup after loosing 2-1 to Meadow Park Youth.
