ALCESTER Town player-manager Danny Janes admitted to dealing with a difficult week after several players left the club due to lack of playing time.
Janes said: "It's always difficult when you are personal friends with players away from football, but you don't necessarily agree with one another on the pitch.
"On reflection, I could have potentially handled certain situations a lot better and this is something that I will learn from."
The departures didn't stop Alcester from obtaining a 2-0 win against Enville Athletic in Midland League Three.
Danny Mumford set up Alcester's opening goal, releasing Robbie Davies who cut in from the left before letting fly with a 25-yard screamer.
Alcester soon made it 2-0 before half time when full back James Cund produced an inch perfect cross from Luke Grubb to bravely head home.
Alcester face a tough test this Saturday when they visit top of the table NKF Burbage.
