WARRIORS
7 Adams – The lively Welshman finished off his early try superbly but blotted his copybook with a couple of stray kicks.
8 Heem – Capped an impressive display with a try in the final play. Was solid throughout and worked hard in defence. Warriors’ man of the match.
7 Olivier – Made a stunning midfield break to set up Warriors’ opening try and remained firm in defence when Saints piled on the pressure.
6 Willison – Maintained his promising centre partnership with Olivier and got through plenty of defensive work for the visitors.
6 Humphreys – Another decent defensive outing from the youngster who didn’t see too much of the ball in an attacking sense.
6 Mills – Missed two early second-half penalties and will be frustrated with some of his tactical kicks which lacked direction. A mixed bag.
8 Hougaard – The South African is really starting to hit his straps after his injury lay-off. Outstanding in defence with some big hits.
7 Bower – Led out the side on his 50th appearance for the club and did OK at the scrum which was affected by the early injury to linchpin Nick Schonert.
6 Annett – Looked a bit rusty on his first outing in three months. Warriors fluffed several important line-outs in attack and defence.
Schonert – Suffered an early bang on the head and was replaced by Biyi Alo who dropped his first two passes in a nervous start before improving.
6 O’Callaghan – The Ireland legend can’t be faulted for his work-rate before giving way to Tevita Cavubati after 59 minutes.
6 Spencer – The lock kept working hard until the final minute and gave plenty of effort. Dropped a couple of balls which lost some attacking momentum.
6 Dowson – Made his 260th Premiership appearance against his former club. His collision which took out Ken Pisi in the air was greeted with widespread amusement by the home crowd.
7 Lewis – Recalled to the starting line-up and didn’t disappoint. Might lack physicality but he made up for it with his tremendous work-rate.
7 Potgieter – Not the biggest number eight in the Premiership but the South African threw himself into tackles and was lively at times in the loose.
