MANAGERLESS Studley pulled off a shock win when they snapped up a 2-1 success at title chasing Atherstone Town.
Caretaker boss Keith Draper took over reins following the departure of Kevin Kingham and made an immediate impact.
Draper brought in Perry McCloud as his coach and a number of new players, Gareth Evans making his debut after arriving from Pershore Town while fringe players Jordan Rai, Emmanual Omoregbee, Dominic Olney and Ron Adjei all started.
Club spokesman Bob Fletcher said: "We would have taken a 1-0 or even a 2-0 defeat in the circumstances, but we produced a real smash and grab raid."
Atherstone led 1-0 at the break through an Alex Naughton goal but Studley shocked the Sheepy Road crowd when Keith Draper Junior levelled after being set up by substitute Ben Wilkinson.
Life got even better for Studley when Wilkinson then capitalised on a last minute mix-up in the Atherstone defence to nip in and score the winner.
A delighted Bob Fletcher added: " To go and win at Atherstone was a tremendous result. There was a real togetherness about the side and the result has given everyone at the club a tremendous lift.
"We hope to have a new manager in place by the end of the week."
Studley's victory has taken them put of Midland League One's bottom three.
But they face a huge game this Saturday when they entertain Coventry Copsewood who are positioned directly below them in the league table.
