REDDITCH United moved into tenth in the table with a convincing win over Frome.

The Reds were on top from the start, hungry for their first win at the new look Valley Stadium and took the game to the visitors from the off Early on, Paul Apostlopoulos went on a great run before eventually seeing his shot saved by Darren Chitty.

Danico Johnson had a good chance on 21 minutes when he latched onto a long ball as the Frome defence hesitated and headed the ball over Chitty but it went just wide.

Johnson displayed power and pace throughout and gave Redditch the lead wo minutes before half time when Liam Spink put in a long cross from the right and the striker headed home well.

Frome equalised when Redditch lost the ball in midfield on 73 minutes, the ball reached Davies on the right and his cross was met first time by Jake Jackson to equalise.

On 78, Apostlopoulos was brought down in the box by Nathan Summers, but Johnson's penalty was saved by Chitty and eventually went out for a corner.

Max Loveridge took it and Duane Courtney rose at the far post to head in and secure all three points for Redditch.

Johnson should have made it three right on the final whistle with just Chitty to beat but put his shot wide.
