REDDITCH suffered a narrow 33-29 reverse at Coventrians in Midlands 4 West South.

After opening their campaign with a 13-10 success over Claverdon, Redditch ran out full of confidence and led 14-12 at half time.

But a disastrous third quarter saw them leak three converted tries from which they couldn't recover in time.

Simon Fitzpatrick stormed over for a couple of first half tries which Will Heath converted to give Redditch an interval lead.

Coventrians responded with a trio of tries to lead 33-14 before Redditch started to stage a recovery.

Heath cut the deficit with a penalty before Brian Williams went over for an unconverted try.

In the dying moments, Redditch flung the ball across the backs for Mark Green to grab a try in the corner which Heath converted.
